Outside my window ...
I have no idea what is out there. It's hot. Really hot. I think I've done a good job not complaining about that this pregnancy, but I can honestly tell you that I can't remember the last time I was out in my backyard. Better luck next year, garden!
I am listening to ...
the boys giggling about something new they've created in the basement. It's usually best if I don't know what that is. They have been so goofy lately.
I am wearing ...
a comfy skirt and shirt. That's been my uniform this summer.
I am grateful for ...
date nights and that we have an amazing sitter so we can take those date nights!
I am pondering ...
baby names, plans that need to be in place for when this baby arrives, and other plans that will most likely fall apart when reality hits.
I am creating ...
records of Ben's education this year. I know this system will save me time later and be a cinch, but there is a huge learning curve with it!
Towards creating an education...
It took a couple of days but I think we have a good routine for school time - meaning keeping the two littler ones occupied so Ben and I can do school without a lot of noise or disruptions. They still exist, but they're not constant! Ben LOVES history this year. I love that he loves that.
I'm hoping and praying ...
for an easy delivery and that my doula makes it on time. It's not that she's slow. It's that I'm quick. Well, usually. I hate to even say that. This one will probably be a 24 hour labor since I'm planning for it to be a few hours! Just gotta wait and see! I'm also praying that baby will be as easy going as his/her brothers and sister. We have a lot going on this fall and having a fussy baby would make it not so doable for me!
Towards rhythm and beauty...
There really isn't any here right now. I feel like I'm kinda making my dance moves up as I go and it is starting to feel like it looks like Elaine's dance from Seinfeld. But I'm sure the grace will come and beauty will follow. Until then, try not to point and laugh at our dance moves!
Around the house ...
is total chaos. We're trying to pull out clothes for baby and get a room ready for my parents who are coming 4 times in the next 4 months. Love it! Now we have a permanent bed for them... we just need to put it together.
From the kitchen...
has been lots of easy meals. My goal this week is to make at least 1 normal meal. I think I can...
But! I'm excited to be baking 2 desserts for 2 potlucks we're going to this weekend. One of them is an Espresso Caramel Bar. Oh my. If it's good I'll post the recipe.
One of my favorite things ...
is hearing Greta sing when she first wakes up for while we're riding in the car. She sings so softly and sweetly. And I love it when she says "BESH YOU!" when anyone sneezes or coughs.
A few plans for the rest of the week ...
Ben has his second violin lesson. He couldn't be more excited. I have a potential moms night out with two women I haven't spent time with in a long time. And lots more getting used to being in our school routine.
