Day Book

Outside My Window
It's dark and probably cold.

I am listening to
Scott helping me figure out which restaurant we should pick for date night Saturday.

I am wearing
sweats and scrubby clothes - it was potty training day 1 here today.

I am thankful for
so many things this week:
1. Scott has off Monday and can help with Day 2 of potty training.
2. We are all safe and comfortable.
3. I haven't had morning sickness (yet!!).
4. Supportive friends and family.
5. An awesome husband.

I am pondering
whether or not we should postpone potty training. Today was a disaster!

I am reading
Rome Sweet Home, along with the bible and CCC, for a new 5-year reading program I'm doing. I love it! In 5 years, I will have read the bible, the catechism, and 40 must-reads. Rome Sweet Home has been so great. I have heard most of these stories from different Scott Hahn talks that I've heard, but never put together like this.

From the kitchen
I am still working on my new plans for dinner - making dinner while we eat lunch and then reheating it at dinner time. So far it's working great. I have a feeling that if afternoon naps become essential this won't be happening. But for now -- I LOVE IT! I wish I would have done this years ago.

I am thinking
about bedroom rearranging and when it will all take place - before baby or after baby?

I am creating
a life - that is currently the size of a poppy seed. This miracle always astounds me.

On my ipod
well, honestly, we've been listening to a lot of Sandra Boynton stuff. It's great as far as kids stuff goes! And, Ben now thinks the world of BB King and wants to be just like him. I think that's pretty cool.

Towards a Real Education
I am so excited for next fall! We'll be joining a very large co-op that is so well organized and will be meeting so many of our needs and wants. And some that I didn't know I had!

I am hoping and praying
for the people of Haiti. I cannot imagine the devastation. I cannot imagine not having any idea where your loved ones are. Or the many other things I try not to think about so I don't end up in a pit of despair.

Around the house
Organization must happen!!! I can't figure out how to store all of these toys!!! Something's gotta give though!

Greta this week
had her first big injury. Well, it actually looked worse than it was I think. But it was a bleeder! Yuck.
